As more countries open up their doors to the growing population of remote workers that are keen to work beachside rather than in the confines of their hometown, Antigua & Barbuda has made one of the most generous offers for nomads: a new 2 year visa to work remotely there!
Similar to the Barbados Digital Nomad Visa, the main requirement for the 2 year Digital Nomad Visa to Antigua & Barbuda is to show proof of earning $50K USD/year, ability to support yourself, and ability to maintain employment in your home country. The cost of the application for a single applicant is currently $1500 USD.
While it’s common for a lot of people to assume that Caribbean islands are pretty much the same, it’s important to keep in mind that they are in no way a “monolith” as Caribbean travel blogger Malou Morgan once noted. Sure there’s often similarities, but each island has it’s own culture, history, and vibe.
At Adventurely we were excited to learn more about the different types of adventures to do in Antigua and Barbuda, and there’s many! A few key adventures to do there and bookmark include swimming with sting rays at “stingray city,” visiting the geological wonder of “devils bridge,” and enjoying a fresh Caribbean cerviche while catching the sunset tat Bumpkins restaurant.
