Barbados Has a "Music Bus" and it's a Ride You Don't Want to Miss

With the recent  launch by the Barbados Government of their new digital nomad visa (aka Welcome Stamp) for remote workers from around the world to live & work remotely in Barbados for up to a year tax-free,  our leadership team has temporarily relocated to Barbados to connect with the bustling community of nomads growing down there.

Getting around the island by far is best accomplished with a car, but there’s also a local bus that can take you easily up and down the popular west & south coast of Barbados.

When time is on your hands to explore the island with an adventurous spirit, you don’t want to miss out on checking out the Barbados “Music Bus.”

Created by the folks at Sun Tours Barbados, the Barabdos “Music Bus is a full-scope/full-day tour of the island complete with multiple swimming stops on different coasts,  that simultaneously shares an experience learning the deep music culture of Barbados, and the Caribbean at large - from Spouge to Banja to Calypso and Soca styles

Prices for the music bus tour start at only $45 USD and we’re excited to feature the Barbados Music Bus tour on Adventurely as a featured experience you can add to your Adventurely wishlist & get matched with new travel buddies  or activity partners to connect with you there IRL!

Highlights of the Music Bus tour include:

  • A drive to St. John’s Parish Church which offers unrivalled views from the North to the East of the island

  • A stop at East Point Lighthouse or Ragged Point Lighthouse, located in St. Philip, which offers breathtaking views of the rugged Atlantic Ocean

  • Stop at Bottom Bay Beach:  a semi-enclosed bay by high coral cliffs, where you can dip your toes in the water

  • Stop at Shark Hole -  a tiny intimate bay, set into the coral cliffs is great for taking a dip

  • Last - a stop at two premiere beaches in Barbados: Fowl Bay & Miami Beach, where the bus will give time for another swim!

Clearly, a swim suit is a must for this bus ride that you don’t want to miss!
