Mexico Makes New Work From Home Policies: Employers Now Responsible for Wifi + Other WFH Costs
File this news under #governmentgoals!
Mexiconewsdaily.com and ctvnews.ca is reporting that Mexico’s government set new policies last week around work from home employees: employers in Mexico are now required to pay for internet costs , electricity costs, and ergonomic chairs for employees that spend 40% of their time working remotely.
The articles also report that the new laws further provide Mexican employees with a “right to disconnect”, and makes it clear that employees working from home are to be paid the same salary for what they would be paid for in-office work.
We applaud these efforts and hope to see it reflected in other countries around the world!
