The Alps Launch Plan to Grow Cowork Spaces With Child & Elderly Care Available

The Alpine region of the EU (a territory across eight European countries: Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Slovenia and Switzerland) is launching a unique plan called “COWORCare” to grow a network of coworking spaces that offer child & elderly care services.

With most digital nomads falling between the age brackets of 30-50, this kind of offering to travel and work remotely for extended time in the Alpine region with the bonus of having services readily available there to help with watching your kids or tending to elder family members in your care is extremely smart, and speaks volumes to how much digital nomadism has evolved with the global normalization of remote work.

According to alpine-region.eu, “the COWORCare project “will be created for coworking and coworkation spaces in the Alpine areas in combination with child & elderly care to enable especially young mothers, fathers and women, who still do the vast amount of social care, to work in a creative environment close to their homes or holiday stay and having at the same time their children/elderly cared for in or nearby the coworking structure.”
